#13 Error 23

I'm having trouble trying to fix my AVI file. When playing, the AVI plays to a part about 80% from the end and freezes. When I repair, I get to the same place in the file and DivFix stops repairing. I get a warning popup saying "Error 23: cyclic redundancy check." On the DivFix screen, it says, "Error, Input file read error." Why is DivFix unable to complete this repair?
