On Windows XP, default directory install is in "Documents and Settings" instead of "Program Files".
If by mistake you install Dia in "Program Files" instead of "Program Files\Dia" and after you unsintall it, there is an issue. In fact, all files and directories will be removed!
Uninstaller should only remove dia files and subdirectories not the others...
The uninstaller is only removing those directories and files, if the user confirms the deletion.
I've received the first report of a data loss according to your scenario. So I'm considering to ask the user to delete the folder. On the other hand, the numer of support requests "The uninstaller did not uninstall everything" was reduced to zero (they were quite frequent). Reasons for not uninstalling everything: Users deleted the installation file list, saved other files in the installation directory...
