im using desmumu 0.9.10 I disable the cheat and reopen the rom and it works.no more white screen.

so when I try to open either heartgold or soulsilver, first time i've ever tried, it's a clean rom, just downloaded it AND just downloaded the DS emulator here. anyways, when I try to open either rom, it simply crashes, doesn't get past the white screen at the begining. any thoughts? perhaps I need to tweak the settings of the emulator a bit to fit the Rom's specs?

To everyone who is having problems: an anonymous person has stated this already. I will go into full detail. This may be happening because you saved your game with action replay cheats turned ON. This is easy to fix. Open up DesMuMe. You'll see the white, blank screen, don't worry. Go to tools, go to cheats, uncheck (or delete if you want to) all action replay cheats and hit save. Exit, then start up DesMuMe again. What I've done is play until I'm done, and uncheck any cheats I happened to be using before I save and exit DesMuMe.

guys all you need to do if your screen is white but you van still hear audio and do actions is open desmume then go to config then down to display method and click on DirectDraw SW and it should be working good as gold.

change your display method options
doesn't work I deleted my action replay
then stop using savestates you created while using cheats
I had the same problem but fixed it by going to the emulator and disabling the cheat

I get the white screen with soulsilver and I don't have any cheats and all my other game work fine!
did you ever have any cheats? redownload your desmume and copy your .dsv into the new one and see if that helps

i got rid of all of my cheats and kabam! it works.
you should try it, maybe yours will fix
