A presentation about dbSpeller and its features in french will be released soon...
Une présentation portant sur dbSpeller sera introduite prochainement..
dbSpellerV1.0 has just seen the light,
after a round of tests, i managed to isolate the major bug in the multithreaded version that was due to aspell not being thread safe or capable of being implemented in a fast responsive gui application, the user now has an option of creating in the preferences menu an insert partition that tells him everytime a predefined number of rows has been inserted into a destination table, this option when used correctly overrules the crash that occures when the aspell spell checker doesnt find spelling errors (the number of rows before the crash depends on the machine being used) a small test can tell you how big of a partition u need for your system, the default partition is 1000...
good luck using this tool and please report any bugs you find..
while pending the project admin's approval, the website is at http://site.voila.fr/dbspeller
the mutltithreaded version is undergoing intensive testing to clear out the the big bug it has..
the program actually crashes when the number of rows spelled without finding errors is high..
i'm working on solving the crash which is due mostly to qt's library by looping around the problem.. the stable version will be hopefuly released today..
