#66 bug to connect to mySQL!!
it always can not connect to mySQL and always wtites "connection to database failed. dbexpress error: invalid username/password" but i use corrrect username and password. it writes "connection to database failed. dbexpress error: invalid username/password" even when mySQL is shutdown!
and if i remove password, nothing changes.

If you try enough times you will get a error dialog where it lists a number of errors.

Connection to database MySQL has failed.
Possible causes are:
*User has no grants to connect from this machine.
*DB Designer Fork does not connect to MySQL 5.* with password.
You may try connecting with a user that does not require password.
You may try connecting thru ODBC.
When reverse engineering, MySQL specific functions are recommended.
Connection to database failed.

In my case it looks like its because I am using MySQL 5.1.51 ..
So I tried this with ODBC and then am able to connect to MySQL with password!
This is a known error. Have you tried using ODBC?
