Hi, I am trying to catalog a collection of movie files using IMDM. I have started off by importing around 500 files and I am working through each one so that I select the correct information from the IMDB database.
I am using windows 7 x64
I initially had problems even importing the files due to an out of memory error so I switched to java 64 bit and increased -Xms to 256m.
It was still crashing, due to running out of memory so I have now increased the ram to 2548M (-Xmx2548m). I can now use the software for around 30 minuites before running out of memory.

Other bugs / new features I would like to see included:
scroll wheel and scroll arrows are backwords in main window (and slow)
grouping of genre (I have about 50 catogries for "Drama" etc.) and rating (8 vs 8 out of 10)
It would be nice to be able to edit multiple entries at once so that different spellings can be merged..
scrolling in main window does not display new items (when moving scroll bar) - should load up list before
sort main list by different critera using column headings
list the director in the online update movie search
when item updated it would be nice if it was selected, rather than placing it at bottom of list, and when item is deleted, go to next item on list rather than beginning
images sometimes don't load, as do genres, years of tv shows (from imdb) and sometimes gets stuck on item description ie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112682/ has "Krank ("

NB. I only run out of memory when updating from IMDB. When just browsing database Data Crow uses ~200mb, provided I have restarted after doing an online update.
