Version 0.8 (alpha) of darning has been released. This version features a rewrite of the core code encapsulating lessons learned in earler versions. Although the new mechanism is incompatible with playgrounds created using earlier versions of darning, it retains an implementation of the old mechanism (for backward compatability) and should continue to work on existing playgrounds (by detecting that the plaground is "legacy" and switching mechanisms accordingly).

An initial (alpha quality) release of darning (a patch management system) has been made available for download and testing. Bug reports and general feedback/suggestions are welcome.
