#992 Keyboard navigation produces a beep

I'm using WinCVS 2.0.24, under Windows Vista x86.

1) View a list of files.
2) Click on one file.
3) Use the keyboard to navigate up and down the list.
4) There is a noise every time you press an arrow key.

This noise used to be a wav file. I couldn't figure out how to disable it, so I turned off all sounds in Windows. Now the noise comes out as a system beep from my computer speaker.

I'm not sure what the purpose of this noise is, since similar UIs elsewhere don't have this behavior, but if it has a purpose, there should be a way to disable it.
