Get the new rdesktop v 1.6 , eg http://thinstation.org/download/2.2/rdesktopsvn_Thinstation-2.2.2d.tar.gz or roll your own.
Replace rdesktop binary in /usr/bin, move the libraries to /lib , build image again, and then you can connect to window 2008 terminal server
