I think it's a good idea to create engine project for special game requirenments. The only restriction we place on the system is that people must be a registered SF user. You can view the ticket system using the link above and if you need to report a new bug for trunk. You can now report it there rather than trac. All documentation etc. will be updated once we are happy all is working as we wish it. Some feedback on the new ticket system and creation fields I have added for OS, Arch, Graphics etc. will be appreciated. Proposal: Rather than documenting GSoC ideas in a wiki (as done now) and conversation by email etc. Why don't those wishing to put forward ideas submit them to our ticket system? This will allow: * Ideas to get more eyes on them and maybe get better peer review. * All discussion and changes will be public. These tickets can also be used for milestone / progress tracking if accepted. * People will be easily be able to find all ideas and not duplicate / waist their time. * These tickets will be a good learning tool for future years as a reference for students and mentors. MacOS flexibility and learning materials are the best in the whole peace, although almost all games are played on Windows and then on Mac. Gotta agree there – it’s only an issue if we actually implement S3TC ourselves – from a quick check this doesn’t seem to be the case as we simply relay the compressed data (produced by some 3rd party tool) to the driver for further processing.
