Connection Terminated

Inflate error: unknown compression method

Recieved when connecting to a windows server running TightVNC Server version 1.2.9 from Chicken of the VNC version 2.0b2. Can also get other errors like:

Unkown rectangle encoding 1073741824 -> exiting

But regardless 2.0b2 is never able to connect.

version 1.3.6 works fine.

Any ideas on what is causing the problems?
