hi
I have 70 000 records on Fact-acct Table.
When I launch the BalanceUpdate the treatment duration is less one minute.
So, when I launch the Financial reporting treatment and I tick the Updating balance, the duration is more than an hour ( I have to cancel the treatment).
The similar treatment without the updating balance, the report is diplayed with 2 minutes.
I made some tests with less records on factacct table.
conclusion : More records on factacct table more the duration treatment is.
Is it a bug ?
Thanks
Thierry

If you run the process "Update accouting balance" separatelly with "Recreate Data" option it will take 4-5 seconds.
If you run the same process, from Financial Report it will take 2 minutes and 15 sec (34 times more!) - because the process is run, without the 'Recreate Data' option.
we disabled the default option "update balance" on the FinReport because it is unacceptable to wait 2-3 minutes.
In our case with aprox 25.000 recors in fact table it is better to run the process separatelly and not from the FinReport.
Try also in your case (70.000 records in fact table) to run the process with 'Recreate Data' and see if it is the same big difference.
