#23 osx version fails to extract properly from network shares

i have several computers in my house and one of them is a mac on a primarily windows network. then i try to read a comic off of my media server from the mac it sometimes takes 2 -3 tries for the manga to properly open i keep getting a failed to extract page 0 error and than comical crashes. i belive this may have somthing to do with either the access method and the samba protocol or actual translation from ntfs to the osx filesystem. the files work normally when copied to the local hard disk this error only seems to occur when opening directly from the share
