cntlm is a perfect piece of software for my needs ... except that I work for a less than modern company IT-wise.
I found a short thread on this topic and I agree most client application support basic authentication but I seem to have found those that don't. I am sitting behind a corporate proxy which only supports basic authentication and therefore I'm blocked with applications such as MS OneNote and Google Drive for instance. Futhermore I'd love to have cntlm authenticate once for me and all apps would then have a direct route through the proxy. That would also save me the trouble of updating my proxy password on every app I use twice a year.
Please add 'Auth Basic' / '-a Basic' support

I have done modifications to CNTLM 0.92.3 to support HTTP Basic Authentication. Hopefully, mavey takes it in.
