    Need Help,

I ran out of space on my hard drive and wanted to transfer all of my saved img files of cloned hard drives to a bigger hard drive but after testing the restore partition on one of my computers from the new hard drive with the copied image files from the old hard drive, it gives me an error, however if i use the hard drive that the img files were first saved on it first, it works perfectly.

So my dilemma is, How can i transfer saved clonezilla images to another hard drive and have it restore successfully from the new hard drive.

"testing the restore partition on one of my computers from the new hard drive with the copied image files from the old hard drive, it gives me an error" -> What ever messages do you have?
You can also try disk to disk clone:

If you would like change your old HDD to a new one
    the steps could be:

Clonezilla 'savedisk' to an external USB drive
Make a look for the blkdev.list of your image
Change the HDDs in your pc (that's right)
With 'gparted live' make the new partitions
(the new partitions should be equal or greater than the old ones)
('Change the HDDs in your pc' -too late)
    Clonezilla 'restoredisk'

Hey, Thanks everyone for all of your helpful replies.

I figured how to fix the problem.

I tried to use Clonezilla within PartedMagic (Tried Several Different Versions including the latest one) and the same results came up with an error saying something about sda2, sda3, sda4 has a broken partition...

I also tried changing the blkdev.list to match my hdd label and drive size with the newer hdd.
I even tried to test my Hard Drives for errors and bad sectors. (100% Healthy in the end)

However, when I used Clonezilla Independently from PartedMagic, ie. Just the Clonezilla Live, everything worked perfectly without any problems.
In the end, it looks like Clonezilla in Parted Magic was causing my headaches.

'Parted Magic' and 'Clonezilla' are using 'squashfs'. In the terminal you can look for dmesg | grep squashfs.
    E.g. if there are in

    /dev/sdb1 Parted Magic
    /dev/sdb2 Clonzilla

then could help to insert in the clonezilla /syslinux/syslinux.cfg append line (without newline)
    bootfrom=/dev/sdb2

It could be possibly that clonezilla is loading the 'squashfs' from 'Parted Magic' and vice versa.
