This is a good idea but I would like to ask for another
approach.
May be it should be a .DAT file or other format that is not
executable as once used by the AVG Antivirus V6.
You just copy it to the Update directory and the software
will find it and start update by itself.
This can prvent somebody who distribute virus in a form of
an update file for ClamAV.

.exe): it's already possible to download the virus
definitions and copy them to the database directory. Just
download them from www.clamav.net.

and save the download to be used on other computers. Also a
