Adding a new appointment activity creates two duplicate
activities.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to the Activities or Calendar tab.
2. Click "New" or "Schedule" depending are where you
are.
3. Specify a new for the activity in the new activity
window.
4. Make sure the activity is of type "Appointment".
5. Click "Save & Close".
6. You should now see two duplicate activities.
