I set it up as per the wiki instructions on my 64 bit gentoo laptop. The rpcbind options were in a different place, but I found them and put -w -i like it said. However, when I go to start CDE, it pops up with a box saying the desktop messaging system isn't started. CDE starts anyway, but won't let me click on anything until I get rid of that box. Clicking OK puts me back at the terminal, but if I click the corner of the window and close it, I can use the desktop. However, any program I try to start says ToolTalk isn't running. I checked and ttsession exists, and I can run it, so I really don't know what's wrong.
Never mind. It was wpa_supplicant screwing with rpcbind. I fixed it. I like this desktop environment very much now that I can use it.
