every now and then, my Mac starts reindexing my hard drive using the mds/mdimporter combo. Then it stops, but starts again soon afterwards. A look in /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/mdimportserver.crash.log, shows that the mdimportserver always crashes with the PodImporter on top.
I have attached a big logfile and hope you can figure out what causes the crash.

I've had similar effects. In fact, every time I compile and run the Camelbones "hello world" demo I get several mdimporter crashes, each associated with ShuX. If you want more crashreporter logs, just ask.

I was getting hundreds of these a day when developing Perl, and finally had to chuck Shux. I'm sure my perl installation is busted in any number of ways, but I'm not happy with a plugin that does not play well with mdimporter.
