Allow user to specify rules to create waypoint names for download. Maybe it should be GpxSpinner compatible. Waypoint list should have two fields, one for the original waypoint name and one for the downloaded waypoint name.
I have added a partial implementation of this feature in the 0.10 release. There is now a File/Transform menu item that fixes up waypoint names, but there is no configuration for it. I'll wait until it is more configurable before I close this feature request.
