Hi, I tried to create a byld disk just the way it says to on the book (file) and when I boot up it says "Kernel panic: cannot find init. Try to pass init= to the kernel". How do I fix this?

Hello, I had the same problem don't know if you solved it yet.
I found that the libs were not executable.. try a chmod a+x lib/*
