v0.5 released!

Hi all,

The latest version of Buttress (0.5) is now available for download.

As with the last release, there's one version for both Unix (including Linux) and Windows systems - Windows users, use the .exe, Unix/Linux users can set up a shell script. the package with the src is the source package - only download this if you're interested in the source code.

Now, for the changes. It's recommended you save your details from previous versions of Buttress and start Buttress afresh - this will build a new config file needed for this new version. Once this is done, start adding the filters and feeds from you previous version

Downloads - thanks to improved logic, duplicate downloads *should* now be reduced. For example, if you have two feeds carrying similar torrents and a download appears on both feeds, it (hopefully!) won't be downloaded twice. May not be perfect just yet, but let us know how you get on.

Feeds and filters - these have now been merged into one and are now called Items. Also, Buttress reports if a feed URL is not working.

Updated GUI - we've dropped the config tab and moved it to a menu at the top. The config window is a lot nicer now. We've also got a nice new icon for the system tray.

Bug reporting - help us make Buttress better by enabling an option to e-mail Buttress developers with information about your setup on critical errors. PLEASE NOTE: This is optional! On first use, Buttress asks if you want to do this. If you change your mind, you can change this setting in the config window. The same also goes for (the now improved) Buttress logs.

UPDATED improved logic to stop the running of duplicate files

That's it for now. We'll be working on v0.6 soon enough so if you want to get in touch with your views and opinions...

If you have any problems, feel free to get in touch at the forums here at Sourceforge or (preferably) the Buttress forum here: http://forum.sailes.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=10
