Make sure that a) if you have a starting balance that it matches your account, and b) that you have not mistyped any amounts. I have entered tens of thousands of entries, and every time that I found some balances did not align, the problem was with me mis-typing an entry.

What amount are you off by? Is it a few dollars / cents, or is it a lot more?
If you have a statement from your bank which includes running totals, you can follow it along and find when the total diverges from your Buddi account; this can help find what the offending transaction is.

Also I wasn't looking at the balance at the bottom of the screen I was looking at the balance beside each transaction, thats what wasn't matching, the balance at the bottom is correct, sorry for calling it a bug, human error, great program btw I love the reports

This is correct; they are sorted in three ways. The first is by date; a transaction on April 1 will always show up before a transaction on April 2. The second sort is by debit / credit; an 'income' transaction will show before an 'expense'. Finally, if everything else matches, then it is sorted alphabetically by name.

I re-entered them twice, does buddi allow you to add back dated transactions, or does it have to start from the day I created the account?
There is no problem with backdated items, just set the date on the transaction.

I re-entered and noticed that my transactions aren't going in chronologically they are being organized alphabetically by their description
