Delays, delays and more delays

Again I have to open the news with an apology, I just don't seem to have the time to dedicate to this project that I once had, that said however I don't plan on abandoning it any time soon so there will be updates, hopefully something major before the new year.

Again let me remind everyone that the tutorial pages have moved to a sourceforge hosted app, and I'm going to set up a permanent redirect to these pages from the current website some time this week so your links will have to be updated.... read more

SF hosted apps, what they mean for us:

Now that sourceforge have given projects hosted apps, including mediawiki which we were previously using for the sites main documentation, bloop will be moving over to these hosted apps as soon as possible.

I haven't yet planned a time scale for this as I'm currently having difficulty accessing the old site but some time in the near future we will be moving the wiki to:

Getting back on track.

Hi folks,

Been a bit of a while since we had any news and since any real code changes were made to the project, I can only apologize for this and say that it had been in no small part due to some recent family problems.

Not to worry though, I fully intend to get back to work on the project from now on so keep a close eye on it and we should have some big changes here within the coming weeks.

As usual any comments/suggestions about the project are probably best placed on the wiki discussion pages for now, I am looking in to getting us a forum set up some time soon.

We have a bug!

... and I've messed up our bug-tracker. I accidentally added the 'Controls' category twice to the bug type list, if anyone needs to submit a 'Controls' bug please use the topmost of the two.

Anyway back to the news. There hasnt been as much progress on the code recently as I might have liked however we now have a basic framework which to build uppon including a simple demo level which has a nice AI and basic controls demonstration.... read more

We're here!

The project site has been up and running for a few days now so I thought it was about time we had some news.

Bloop is an open source 3D pong game written in python-ogre but more than just a game. We intend to fully document the development process as a sort of ongoing tutorial in the hope that it may be useful to others wishing to make games with python-ogre.

The wiki is now fully functional, although we have very little content at the moment, due to concerns about spamming we are allowing open registration, if however you have something to contribute please feel free to email one of the project developers (you can find links to us on the webpage) and we'll be happy to create an account for you.
