The bliss-box is a dual device HID and has both mouse and gamepad descriptions. This causes issue for linux and mac users. A kernal patch for linux is available but nothing for mac.
The resolution is to use mavericks. Its a bug in the OS x pre Mavericks. I was able to make the controller worth with apps like openemu regardless but on any os under Mavericks the gamepad controls the mouse and that makes it hard to use the computers.
