[base-announce] BASE 1.2.17 released

Hey everyone (well, everyone on the users and announcements lists).
This is just to tell you that BASE 1.2.17 is available for
download from the usual place ( http://base.thep.lu.se/?m=download ).

This is mostly a maintenance release, with fixes for things like
compilation errors with GCC 4 and lots of warnings with PHP 4.4,
but there are a few bigger changes.
Please read the notes on the download page if you're upgrading,
since they list some additional steps that you may need to take.
