When I start the Windows client on Win7 64-bit I always have to go through the initial statup Wizard, the announcements page always shows a large amount of unreadable characters (mostly diamonds) and it never remembers my server login details.
any idea why?
Cheers,
Matt

I had the same problem, also with Win7 64-bit. Found that running in compatibility mode for Windows XP (SP3) fixed the problem. (Although then I get the UAC thing every time I run it.

Additional: Provided you have it set to automatically connect every time you start, you can avoid the UAC popups by removing compatibility mode. Just seems to need it to save some settings. (Not sure what belth was talking about…)
