Whenever a video is encoded as an XviD and is more than 710 pixels wide, it ends up being green; sometimes a little bit green, sometimes a lot.

I ran a few tests with a few videos, and the all had the same results. Encoding to 710 and below wide worked, while encoding to 712 and above resulted in a green video.

This was the case regardless of the source video’s resolution. It happens if the source is smaller and sized up, if the source is bigger and sized down, or if the source is bigger and not resized at all. In all cases, Avidemux cannot seem to successfully encode an XviD wider than 710. (It has nothing to do with rounding because 710 is not a multiple of 16, or even 4, yet it works. Conversely, 720 is a multiple of both 4 and 16, yet it does not work.)

I’ve attached a few sample clips showing all of the permutations.
