I'd like to see some kind of mass-search&replace option in AstroGrep. This may be out of scope, but I think of it as a nice addition.

When searching for a (Regex-)pattern I would first "Search" to get a list of all finds and then click on "Replace" button to have all those finds be replaced by some (Regex-)text I entered below the Search Text.

Probably causes lots of problems with search plugins....

This should be very simple to implement for plain text formats. No need to support search and replace for all formats right away, but without this feature at least for ascii files, the tool feels seriously crippled.

Hi -- yes, I'd like to support this request. I'm very pleased with Astrogrep and don't really want to go to a second tool just to do a mass replace.

I notice on the Search button we already have drop-down for "search within results". I'd suggest a replace option could work the same way, with one suggestion.

When you "Search in results" it scans all the files in the found window. For both the "Search in results" and "Replace in results", I think it would be very useful to only "Search within ..." and "Replace within ..." files selected as well as all files listed.

Hope to hear news of a replace function in the works. Many thanks for your time.

    Kind regards,

    William
