Some content providers configure their web-servers to
stream you with other mime-types than
"application/octet-stream" in order to prevent you
downloading ASF-files from their websites. This little
patch let's ASFrecorder to download
"application/<anything>" instead of
"application/octet-stream". So, if you get a error
message like "unknown content-type:
application/vnd.ms.wms-hdr.asfv1" or similar, this
patch is for you.
However, be careful, because ASFrecorder becomes quite
a beast. :-) It tries to download _any_ application
mime-types. With never types of ASF-files you get a lot
of messages like "unknown format type: $41
129 kB ( 0%), HDR: $4424, part: $c001, 690 bytes,
seq $00000135, tc: ???" but the downloads are ok, at
least for me. ;-)
I could have added a command line parameter for the
change, but I was in no mood for coding today, and
wanted just one file.
