No

I suggest changing "\n" to "\r" at line 1464 of
asfrecorder.c, in order for download progress to not
print on a new line.

Actually this wont help at all.
all commands that show up in gui are followed by a/n
new line statment because other wise youd get it
writing info over what is all ready there.
im not sure a return statment is all that much of an
improvment. If you think about it.
a tru improvment would be a log created from
these statments. now theres a patch

Well, for Linux command line version I want to write info
over what is already there! There is no need to scroll
pages and pages. Like wget - earlier it used to output
several lines, now it prints progress bar on a single line.
Writing info over would not be the same, but it'd be an
improvement. Note, that I am not talking about Windows GUI
    version.

    It seems there's already a better patch [ 656541 ], so I'm
    closing this one.
