#294 Wrong behaviour with write protected files

WRITE protected files can't be READ -- RO icons (i.e. .info files) are not displayed, RO text files are not read by the editor. On the other hand, if you quit the editor and select to save the file on exit, even a RO file is overwritten and set to RW (it is not overwritten though when trying to save without quitting).
