Document associations FUBARed by AJ

Hi there,
I've been using AppleJack for quite a while, and I was very excited to see it become an Intel compatible program! I just ran it on my new 17" MacBook Pro (running OS X 10.4.8), and while AJ didn't report any errors that I noticed, upon rebooting the machine, all the icons on my desktop have been 'changed', i.e., the text files (created with TextEdit) now have Safari icons, as do my PDF's, and my Keynote and Excel docs now have a blank 'document' icon, and don't open until I 'get info' and specify the correct program. I hope that makes sense!
Thanks for the hard work, and I hope this feedback comes in handy.

Thanks for the problem report. Did you run AppleJack in deep cleaning mode (AUTO), or in regular mode (auto), or in manual mode?
If you ran a deep clean, AppleJack would delete the launch services database (which is located in the /Library/Caches directory), so this behavior would not be a surprise in such a case.
If not, then I'm not sure why the associations would have been removed.
Did a subsequent reboot help? Sometimes Mac OS X doesn't seem to rebuild itself nicely after a cache clean, and you have to restart twice.
Let me know.
