#344 Option to show grid permanently
Can there be an option (or a script - check/uncheckbox) to keep the grid on *permanently*? I like to have the grid "on" all the time (as can be done with the directional arrows) but I know that some designers don't like that, so having this as an option would be good.
Don't know if @pencilart is still watching, but here goes: Do you mean that you would like to have AOI automatically override whatever grid settings are saved in a specific file?
No, this is only for starting new projects. Have a setting so that the grid is "on" or showing by default. If a user doesn't like that, they should be able to turn it off. Any grid settings that have been saved in a scene file should not be overridden.

ok, n/m on that. I just started a new AOI scene and the grid was there. I guess my earlier problem was due to some kind of quirk or something.
Well, I was setting up AOI on my Linux box and saw that the grid setting was not kept after closing and reopening. So Yes, I'm still interested in this. I had to install a .bsh script called (if I remember the name correctly) setGrid to to be able to start a new project and with the grid showing.
