Almas Designer / News: Recent posts

Unfortunately, the Almas development was stopped for some time. Currently, I don't have enough free time to work on it. But I'll continue its development in future.

Anyway, I've decided to release an easy to use Linux binary package to make using Almas very easy. (Because of different possible configurations of wxWidgets, compiling it from source was sometimes problematic)
This package is built using the latest wxWidgets and wxPorpGrid libraries and is statically linked; so you don't need anything to run it.... read more

Almas 0.9 is out! This version has many enhancements compared to Almas 0.8.
Better code generation (minimum recompiling is needed after each generation), XRC support, many bug fixes, no libxml dependency anymore, much better Windows support and others....

WidgetPack2 is available now! It'll add the following widgets to Almas 0.8:

wxCalendarCtrl
wxSplitterWindow
wxCheckListBox
wxScrollBar
wxGenericDirCtrl
wxListView
wxHtmlWindow
wxContextHelpButton
Popup Menu

Now, with about 50 widgets, Almas Designer can be used to design more complicated dialogs/frames.

WidgetPack1: a set of plugins for Almas 0.8 is out. This plugin will add 10 new widgets to Almas:

wxRadioBox

Hopefully, the program will be a bit more usable now!

After two preview versions, the first version is out now! Unlike the previous versions, this version is usable to some extent.

- Plugin support added
- Many new widgets are now available
- Styles are now supported in the visual editor
- You'll see the stock buttons in the visual editor now
- Toolbar/Menubar support added
and some other little changes

The second development preview version of Almas Designer released. This version includes several improvements comparing to the first release:
1. Better code generation, supporting cpp/h templates of KDevelop projects. (It'll use cpp/h templates if available in template forlder in the project folder.
2. Event support in code generation
3. Previous widgets are now functional
4. three new widgets added

The first development preview of Almas Designer released. This release is just a preview of the program and it is not usable because it doesn't have any completely implemented widget.

Currently, it has the following features:
- Project saving/loading
- cut/copy/paste
- moving up and down
- undelete
and some other!

Hopefully, a usable release will be out soon
