FreeDOS 1.1 test release available

Bernd Blaauw writes: "There's an updated FreeDOS image available for testing at: http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/distributions/1.1-test/ Note that it still requires lots of work for a smooth end-user experience. I'd recommend only using it in virtual machines. Have fun, feedback welcome." Click 'Read more' for details on getting started.

Getting started, easiest way:
* download the ISO
* assign it to your favourite virtual machine software as CD
* make sure to set at least 32MB memory for your VM
* start the virtual machine (be it QEMU, VMWare, Bochs, Virtualbox etc)
* boot from CD
* select bottom option (the copyright message) and press ENTER
* select default option ("start installation")
* install should follow the "1.0" way of installing

The hard way:
* boot from CD
* select default option ("start installation")
* get stuck at batch file unable to find CD (no SETUP.BAT detected)
* mount CD's ISO file:
SHSUCDHD /F:D:\ISOLINUX\FDBOOTCD.ISO
SHSUCDX /D:SHSU-CDH,X
X:
SETUP
* install should follow the "1.0" way of installing
