With the availability of much more fully featured alternative packages in active development, DB_Browser is no longer a useful (and perhaps not even functional) solution.
Version 1.40 includes significant changes since the 1.30 codeline, including:
-major updates in code structure and configuration
-abstraction of HTML from Perl using HTML::Template
-improved user interface, more intuitive defaults
-increased database compatibility
DB_Browser is featured in the new O'Reilly book _Oracle & Open Source_.

See pages 221-223. Neat!
DB_Browser 1.40b3 was released on 01-27-2001. It will likely be the last beta release before 1.40 is released.
1.40b2 - December 17, 2000
-Removed last trace of sth->rows function that was messing up Oracle
-Fixed bug with target column selection in search
-Added option not to use HTML::Template, included default generic form for "those" people
-Fixed bug with "search" and "add" links where current table wasn't being selected properly in resulting page
-Fixed problem where @active_tables config wasn't being respected
The latest version of DB_Browser, 1.40b1, includes a slew of new features and enhancements. This beta version is for testing purposes only; the more people that test, the better the software gets. Expect a stable release in the next few weeks.
