All, We are pleased to announce two releases of Gambit: Software Tools for Game Theory. Gambit 13.1.0 is the new release in the current stable series, Gambit 13. In Gambit's versioning system, "stable" means that no further changes to interfaces (graphical or programmatic) will be made. This means that this is the most suitable platform for instructional use, as you can be sure dialogs or behaviour will not suddenly change between the time the instructor prepares materials and the time students try them out. It is also the most suitable for practitioners who want confidence that API changes won't break their scripts. Unless there are exceptional circumstances, only bug fixes will be issued for Gambit 13 going forward. You can read Gambit 13 documentation at http://www.gambit-project.org/gambit13 and you can get the files for your operating system from http://sourceforge.net/projects/gambit/files/gambit13/13.1.0/ Gambit 14.0.0 is the first release in the current development series, Gambit 14. This is where new features will be implemented over the next year, with Gambit 14 intended to become the "stable" release approximately next August. This is suitable for researchers who are active in developing methods for computational analysis of games, and for those requiring the latest features in their work. Gambit 14 features a significant new development, the implementation of support for Action Graph Games [1]_. We gratefully acknowledge the contributions of Navin Bhat, Albert Jiang, Kevin Leyton-Brown, and David Thompson, with funding support provided by a University Graduate Fellowship of the University of British Columbia, the NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarship, and a Google Research Award to Leyton-Brown. Most Nash equilibrium computation routines will now exploit the structure of AGGs for more efficient computation. We expect support for the Bayesian game extension of Action Graph Games should also be available in a release in the coming weeks or months. You can read Gambit 14 documentation at http://www.gambit-project.org/gambit14 and you can get the files for your operating system from http://sourceforge.net/projects/gambit/files/gambit14/14.0.0/ Finally, a warm thank you to all of you who kicked the tyres on the various test releases of Gambit 13; your feedback has been most useful.
