I guess it is more appropriate name. Confision with old TIS http-gw is non-issue now. The source file names get intact, there are just several subtle changes in Makefile. |

Well, it is quite feature rich. It even presents temporary storage for scp transfers, restricted shell and so on. Rewriting it in C may be tricky, besides that it would be nice to have a python proxy API for openfwtk. Acutally the most annoying thing is GPL ;-) On Fri, Oct 26, 2007 at 03:21:17PM +0200, Alex Ott wrote: > Looks interesting, but may be look, which functions it implements, and > rewrite them in C? > > On 10/26/07, ArkanoiD <ar...@el...> wrote: > > Author of this thing contacted me on LinkedIn. > > It would be nice to integrate, though it is Python and GPL ;-) > > > > http://penguin.fr/sshproxy/index.html > > -- > With best wishes, Alex Ott, MBA > http://alexott.blogspot.com/ > http://alexott-ru.blogspot.com/ > http://content-filtering.blogspot.com/ > http://xtalk.msk.su/~ott/ > > email protected and scanned by AdvascanTM - keeping email useful - www.advascan.com > > |

Looks interesting, but may be look, which functions it implements, and rewrite them in C? Author of this thing contacted me on LinkedIn. It would be nice to integrate, though it is Python and GPL ;-) http://penguin.fr/sshproxy/index.html |

Yep, maybe as some of you pointed out it could be a good idea to place all content to "openfwtk" directory, but i did not :-( |

The project is long dead, but surprisingly well documented. I wish we had it similar way ;-) http://sourceforge.net/projects/open-firewall/ http://downloads.sourceforge.net/open-firewall/open-firewall-book.zip?use_mirror=ovh |

You may checkout. I did little to no testing for this snapshot - just put the files together, trying to describe all that really matters in commit notes, hope i will be able to try how it builds and runs later this evening. Meanwhile, you are welcome to try that too. I've also wrote several man pages, some of those are to document important api and configuration changes, mostly belonging to authentication subsystem. There is no authsrvd anymore, nor there are request id's in agent SSO protocol. For those who are new to all this stuff i especially recommend reading new auth/authsrv.8 man page. I expect to make a kind of public file release before next monday. |
