Dear project admins, Can you please tell me what is the status of the FitLibrary/Web projects? Are you planning on any more releases? Are you open to contributions from others? E.g. move to GitHub and use pull requests? Thanks and regards, Mark |

Hi Bruce, FitLibrary was last updated in 2011 and is currently way out of date with FitNesse (at least 6 months, I understand). Darren and I use the older version of FitNesse, have been very busy with other things, and haven't got onto updating it. A fitnesse jar is provided with the FitLibrary download, so I suggest that you use that. I suspect that there are not many changes, but I haven't looked in a while. I am attempting to build and run them from source. I noticed that both code bases contain fit source and that the fitlibrary source has depedencies on fitnesse. Is there any information as to which version of snapshot of fitlibrary works with which version and snapshot of fitnesse. Hi Ronny, I'm glad you've found the problem. Given that you work around the problem you've found with deep copy, I agree that your solution is good as it is very unlikely to break anything else. I am still very busy with the entrepreneurial project, with looming deadlines, so don't have time to invest on FitLibrary at the moment. All, I have just released the latest version of SmalltalkFit<https://github.com/randycoulman/SmalltalkFit>, an implementation of Fit <http://fit.c2.com>, Fitnesse<http://www.fitnesse.org>, and FitLibrary <http://fitlibrary.sourceforge.net> for Cincom Visualworks Smalltalk <http://cincom.smalltalk.com/>. This version of SmalltalkFit includes the equivalent features of Fit Java 1.1, Fitnesse 20121220, and FitLibrary 2.0. It does not (yet) include a port of Fitnesse Slim. SmalltalkFit is available in the Cincom Public Store Repository<http://www.cincomsmalltalk.com/CincomSmalltalkWiki/Public+Store+Repository>. A snapshot of the current version is also on GitHub<https://github.com/randycoulman/SmalltalkFit>. The Readme file on GitHub includes high-level documentation if you'd like more information before diving in. The full release announcement is on my blog, Courageous Software<http://randycoulman.com/blog/2013/05/24/smalltalkfit/> . Thanks, Randy -- Randy Coulman Email: rco...@gm... Hi Eduardo, Sorry, I've never changed FolderRunner over to use nested tables. If you were interested in making the change and providing me with code, unit tests, and specs, I'd be happy to include the changes in FitLibrary. However, I am extremely busy on an entrepreneurial project (unrelated to test automation/specification) that is just now going to market, so I don't expect I'll have any time at all to put into FitLibrary for the next 3 - 6 months. Hello, I'm experiencing a problem using nested tables: they seem to be ignored during parsing. I've created a sample eclipse project at uploaded it at http://www.kalinowski.com.br/fit/folderrunnertest.zip, it should be runnable after fixing the build path. And here are the relevant parts: My test is: <html> <head> <title>Test</title> </head> <body> <table> <tr> <td colspan="3">Test</td> </tr> <tr> <td>check</td> <td>table</td> <td> <table> <tr> <td>1</td> </tr> <tr> <td>2</td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> </body> </html> And the corresponding fixture is: public class Test { public String[] getTable() { return new String[] {"1", "2"}; } } I'm running it with this simple helper: public class RunFit { public static void main(String[] args) throws ParseException, IOException { Report report = new FolderRunner(new String[] { "src/fit", "target/fit"}).run(); report.displayCounts(); } } The file is run, but I get this output: http://www.kalinowski.com.br/fit/target/fit/test.html I've tried the same test in fitnesse with FitLibraryServer and it worked. I've tried this both with FitLibrary-2.0 and the git version. Apparently, during the parsing of the input file the inner table is being lost, because on runTable() in DoFlowOnTable.java (line 62), row contains only "<tr><td>check</td><td>table</td><td></td></tr>", and thus the check fails because it's expecting an empty string. I found out that that happens because the Tables object is created from a Parse object. If I replace lines 44 & 45 of HtmlRunner.java, that are originally: Parse whole = integrateSetUpAndTearDown(new Parse(fileContents), setUp, tearDown); Tables tables = TableFactory.tables(whole); with Tables tables = TableFactory.tables(fileContents); then the test works as expected (as long as setUp and tearDown are not used, as is the case). Another side effect I noticed is that with the original code, attributes such as colspan are lost (as is formatting in the source html file; the whole table becomes a single line) in the output, rending the output somewhat ugly. With the change above the source table is copied as is into the resulting html report, adding only the color where appropriate. -- I stopped a long time ago to try to find anything in the bug list of dpkg. Hi all, I am using the above library, and was wondering if it is possible to use multiple post text inputs to test a webservice? My fit test using xml input is working fine: !|to|http://[SERVER].compute.amazonaws.com:8280/services/WS|post<http://ec2-76-56-154-1.eu-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com:8280/services/S09_TFL_DEMO%7Cpost>soap12|<p:VerifyPerson xmlns:p=" http://ws.wso2.org/dataservice"><p:StudentID> 229043</p:StudentID><p:TheMode>F</p:TheMode><p:DurationFrom>%</p:DurationFrom><p:DurationTo>%</p:DurationTo></p:VerifyPerson>| Can I use multiple 'post text' inputs, to make the test more readable , ie something like.. !|to| http://ec2-46-51-152-17.eu-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com:8280/services/S09_TFL_DEMO|posttext|StudentID=229043 TheMode=F DurationFrom=% DurationTo=%| And if so what is the correct syntax? If you have trouble viewing or submitting this form, you can fill it out online: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dDlpdS1Fb3pGU3Z5YTlVT28wcDZpd0E6MQ xDD projects survey Hi, my name is Nicolás Dascanio and i'm doing my software engenieering thesis on TDD and ATDD. My native language is not english, so I apologize for any mistake this survey may have. I'm looking for projects devoloped with xDD and i'm asking if you could take a moment of your time to fill out this survey. If you have several projects, it would be ideal to fill out the survey once for each project. However, if the answer to all the questions for every project is the same, you can fill out the survey once. ¿What do I mean with TDD? En the lifecycle starts with unit-tests -> development -> green light -> refactor (this last step may be skipped in some cycles) ¿What do I mean with ATDD? It's like TDD, but the lifecycle starts with acceptance-tests, and inside the cycle there are many TDD-cycles. It may be a big simplification, and they are not mutually exclusive, but I'm interested to know if only unit-tests were used in the sense of UTDD (unit-TDD) or if acceptance tests guided the development. The thesis will be written in Spanish, since that's my native language, but I'll do my best effort to write the conclusions (in a paper or something) in English, so everyone that helped me can read it. Thank you very much! Name and email It's not required to answer this question, the results will be completely anonymous and I won't give your personal information to anyone. I'm just asking to thank you later and ask any question that may arise from the survey. Hey Frode, I took a quick look at this, the code seems to have changed since the bug was posted. I suspect it is now fixed was the SuiteWideRuntimeContext reference is copied over, in the copyFromSuite method. The unicode flag is now in the SuiteWideRuntimeContext and the ConfigurationOfRuntime class no longer exists. If you are still having problem and have a failing sample with the latest version it would help. regards, Darren. Hi, Any chance a fix for the following bug could be included in the next release? The fix is pretty simple (just copy the ConfigurationOfRuntime over) http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3139631&group_id=131744&atid=722042 Regards, Frode C. |

hi all i have successfully ran the FolderRunner from my maven project with this configuration <plugin> <groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId> <artifactId>exec-maven-plugin</artifactId> <version>1.1.1</version> <dependencies> </dependencies> <executions> <execution> <phase>integration-test</phase> <goals> <goal>java</goal> </goals> </execution> </executions> <configuration> <classpathScope>test</classpathScope> <mainClass>fitlibrary.runner.FolderRunner</mainClass> <arguments> <argument>src/main/resources/fit</argument> <argument>target/fit</argument> </arguments> </configuration> </plugin> Now, i have tried to create my own Maven plugin: public class EchoMojo extends AbstractMojo { /** * Any Object to print out. * @parameter expression="${message}" default-value="Hello World..." */ private Object message; /** * Any Object to print out. * @parameter expression="${fitDirectory}" default-value="FitDirectory..." */ private String fitDirectory; /** * Any Object to print out. * @parameter expression="${reportDirectory}" default-value="OutputDirectory.." */ private String reportDirectory; public void execute() throws MojoExecutionException, MojoFailureException { try { getLog().info( "FitDirectory:" + fitDirectory ); getLog().info( "OutputDirectory:" + reportDirectory); FolderRunner folderRunner = new FolderRunner(); Report report = folderRunner.run(fitDirectory, reportDirectory); getLog().info(report.getCounts()); } catch(Exception e) { getLog().error("Exception in running plugin", e); } } } and trying to run it this way: <plugin> <groupId>com.worldcorpservices.plugins</groupId> <artifactId>maven-fit-plugin</artifactId> <version>1.0-SNAPSHOT</version> <executions> <execution> <phase>integration-test</phase> <goals> <goal>run-fit</goal> </goals> </execution> </executions> <configuration> <message>This is message from configuring pluginmy simple msg</message> <fitDirectory>src/main/resources/fit</fitDirectory> <reportDirectory>target/fit</reportDirectory> </configuration> </plugin> The FolderRunner runs , however i am getting this exceptions: Missing class or Missing method. Possibly: - public Type getComDotOmDotExampleDotDvrDotFixturesDotCreatePrograms() { } - public Type comDotOmDotExampleDotDvrDotFixturesDotCreatePrograms() { } so it appears it cannot find the classes in the current project....... i am guessing it has to do with forking and was wondering if anyone here has find similar problems... w/kindest regards marco |

Hi Rick, The way we got around the SFTP support is by using SCP. We created the public/private keys on the two servers we needed to do the file transfers for so we wouldn't need user interaction to login with a password. This keeps it cleaner by not having the username and password on the wiki as well. Then we used Shell Fixture to call SCP for the file transfers. Works for our purposes!! :D Example code: !3 Upload the files listed below to user upload directory |''with shell''| |''synchronously''| scp /home/mypath/tofile/toupload/file.xml ${ftpurl}:/nfs/path/toupload/to/ | |wait to finish| Thanks, Dharmesh -----Original Message----- From: fit...@li... All, Has anyone worked with SFTP using the Shell Fixture. I basically need the ability to upload and get files from an server using SFTP. I'm having trouble with getting it to play nice. Here's what I'm trying with the latest fitlibraryweb ShellFixture. |''with shell''| |''synchronously''| sftp -v -oUser=myUser myHost | |wait to finish| |write input|myPassword| |wait to finish| |'''show'''|outputs remaining| The error I get is the following: Connecting to myHost... Even though when I do it from Cygwin it works fine. Just seems to complain when I try it from fitLibraryWeb.ShellFixture. Any ideas?
