I installed the latest gutenprint hpijs pxlmono, ghostprinter etc as per the instructions from the previous thread, but the problem still persists with the 3 different ppd's offered under these packages. The old machine that I was running this software under has died, so I can't get the old version numbers to use those.
What can be done, why hasn't this bug been fixed after all of these months? Will my impending up grade to snow leopard help in any way, or just continue this problem?

I'm not sure what is causing it. From the other thread we were able to come up with a work around for it, but now with the updated software from you guys or them, that work around no longer works.
And as the old machine isn't active any more, I can't look up the version numbers and use that version of the software where the work around did work.
So my question is, what can I do to make this work?

I'm using a HP Laserjet 5 printer with as of today the latest version of Gutenprint/10.5.8. I ran into this problem before and was resolved at the time under this thread: http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=2328173&forum_id=409461

If this is also happening with HPIJS and pxlmono, it's not a Gutenprint issue -- those drivers are completely independent of Gutenprint.
If it's working fine with a different machine, it suggests that there's something strange about the machine you're using.
