From what you have provided, I would guess there was a problem in the Install.
So can you check the RecordEditor lib directory (some thing like C\:Program Filesxxx\lib\
where xxx is MSaccess, HSQL, HSQLDB, Generic) and see if there is a file
* RecordEditor.jar
or RecordEditor.pack - will be one or the other and let me know
* You could try installing in a directory other than Program Files i.e.
C:\JavaProgram\RecordEditor\... (Microsoft seems to be making it hard for java installers in
Vista at least and probably Windows 7.
* If you where using using the jar based installer, try downloading ru_Java_Run_As_Administrator*.exe from https://sourceforge.net/projects/record-editor/files/, install it. On vista at least, this gives a "Run as Administrator" option for Java jars. Use this new option when you run the installer

I am glad it worked, On vista for the *.exe installers, it is just a case of running the installer as_Administrator. The ru_Java_Run_As_Administrator_a.exe option was only needed for *.jar installers.
I would be very interested in other peoples experience installing / running the RecordEditor in Windows 7 !!!!

I installed using RecordEdit_Installer_for_MSAccess_067_Test_2.exe.
I uninstalled RecordEdit, downloaded and installed ru_Java_Run_As_Administrator_a.exe and reinstalled RecordEdit_Installer_for_MSAccess_067_Test_2 (running as administrator) and it works.
Thanks Bruce!.

On windows 7, I installed java 6u16 and RecordEdit but when I attempt to start Full Editor nothing happens. Any suggestions?
Can you provide a little more information i.e.
Which installer you are using (i.e. RecordEdit_Installer_for_HSQL_067_Test_2.jar)
