2007 yılında Edgar Colby ve Necho Carlota tarafından Portekiz ve Brezilyalı kullanıcıları Arch Linux tabanlı kolay kurulabilen bir GNU/Linux dağıtımı ile buluşturmak adına ArchMint projesi başlamış ve 2013 yılına kadar Gnome 2 masaüstüne sahip 4 ayrı ana sürüm yayınlanmıştır. 2013 yılında Mate masaüstü ortamına geçiş ile birlikte projeye Hasan Arslan ve Tekin Özer dahil olmuştur. 2014 yılında projenin başlatıcıları olan Edgar Colby ve Necho Carlota'nın projeden ayrılması ile birlikte proje ismine ithafen Arch Linux'un sağlamlığı ve Linux Mint'in açık kaynak kodlu araçları birleştirilerek 2 yeni sürüm hazırlanmıştır. ArchMint projesi, 2016 yılında tüm geliştiricilerin ayrılması ile birlikte askıya alınmıştır. 2017 - 2020 yılları arasında eski geliştiriciler birkaç sürüm yayınlamış fakat devamı gelmemiştir. M I perhaps as "Maths Infos", "Mission Impossible", "Micro Imagination", "Museum Incarnation", ..., "Mandela Ideologie", ...,"Magne Isapèt" :), ... ; but in reality M I for "Me Inside", inside Linux, inside Debian, inside Ubuntu. This project designates all logistics associated developments. The goal is to promote the development of secure and robust software combining beauty and elegance for Linux platforms .

KMG helps you to manage: activation/disactivation of modules startup list blacklist and it has an unique feature: it can save a snapshot of the system's modules configuration and restore it later. All the actions are traced in a dedicated log section. The GUI also gives details on the selected module.
