SeaToad is a library to aid in concurrency and load testing of .NET code. Intended for use by developers or automation testers. For example, it makes a good second hand if you're trying to reproduce a concurrency issue. You can very quickly generate load representing one or more portions of the suspect code, while manually performing other tasks. Or perhaps you're worried about the performance of a particular stored procedure with load from an external source. SeaToad can run the stored procedure and the external load for you to locate performance and concurrency bottlenecks.

Shadowtail is a Java/Spring framework for gathering numerical data (statistics) about a Java application. It is particularly useful as a source of data to feed Orca, the free tool for plotting textual data onto a directory on a Web server.

TCPCopy is a TCP stream replay tool to support real testing of Internet server applications. Although the real live flow is important for the test of Internet server applications, it is hard to simulate it as online environments are too complex. To support more realistic testing of Internet server applications, we develop a live flow reproduction tool - TCPCopy, which could generate the test workload that is similar to the production workload. Currently, TCPCopy has been widely used by companies in China. TCPCopy has little influence on the production system except occupying additional CPU, memory and bandwidth. Moreover, the reproduced workload is similar to the production workload in request diversity, network latency and resource occupation. TCPCopy consists of two parts, TCPCopy and intercept. While TCPCopyruns on the online server and captures the online requests, intercept runs on the assistant server and does some assistant work, such as passing response info to TCPCopy.

ThreadAnalyser application allows users to analyse multi-threaded applications without need to have/modify their source code under Linux OS. It provides information about active threads and their stack info, consumed memory, etc.

WebAppBurner is an easy-to-use, standalone, benchmarking tool for web based applications and web servers. WebAppBurners is able to execute several HTTP(S) requests with multiple workers, and each worker (which simulate an user) can perform multiple iterations (loops). It is able to send POST data to given Urls and it keeps received cookies during each iterations. It runs on Windows with .NET 4.0 framework. Zebrunner CE (Community Edition) is a Test Automation Management Tool for continuous testing and continuous deployment. It allows you to run various kinds of tests and gain successive levels of confidence in the code quality. Zebrunner CE is integrated by default with Carina open-source TestNG framework and uses Jenkins as a CI Tool. It is built on top of popular docker solutions and includes Postgres database, Zebrunner Reporting, Jenkins Master/Slaves Nodes, Selenium Hub, Mobile Device Farm (MCloud), SonarQube, etc. All components are deployed under NGINX WebServer which can be configured in a fully secured environment. Zombie.js is a lightweight framework for testing client-side JavaScript code in a simulated environment. No browser required. Zombie will work with other testing frameworks. Since Mocha supports promises. Just like your favorite Web browser, Zombie manages multiple open windows as tabs. New browsers start without any open tabs. As you visit the first page, Zombie will open a tab for it. All operations against the browser object operate on the currently active tab (window) and most of the time you only need to interact with that one tab. You can access it directly via browser.window. You can access all open tabs from browser.tabs. This property is an associative array, you can access each tab by its index number.

The alio library can be dynamically pre-linked to existing executables and replaces file IO (i.e. calls to glibc's IO functions). This allows to gather statistics about IO, create IO trace files, or even implement a different IO behaviour (e.g. use separate IO servers to handle IO).

Coarrays are native Fortran means for SPMD parallel programming. At runtime multiple copies of the executable (called images) are executing asynchronously. The F2008 standard provides coarray syntax, remote calls, coarray data objects, allocatable coarrays, syncronisation, atomics, etc. F2018 adds new functionality, e.g. collectives, teams, events, more atomics. Coarrays are used extensively in CASUP library for HPC (https://cgpack.sourceforge.io). The course is aimed at experienced Fortran users. Working knowledge of Fortran is assumed. The course is designed for a 1 day study with an instructor. Multiple exercises with full solutions are accompanied by notes. This course is taught to the University of Bristol HPC users. Exercises have been verified with Intel and GCC/OpenCoarrays. All course materials are released under BSD license.
