Welcome to the website of the Jacuzzi Project!
The project delivers Java™-bindings for CUDA. CUDA is a framework by NVIDIA which enables a programmer to use the graphics processing unit (GPU) of a computer for scientific computations or image processing. The current project state is alpha but it might however be useful for you. Browse the javadoc documentation to find out. Everybody is invited to contribute.
Currently the library supports:
- The CUDA driver layer
- Access to nvcc
Pending for implementation is:
- the CuBLAS library
- the CUFFT library
Prerequisites
Several tools are required to build this library. The IDE used is NetBeans 6.5. The JNI library is built using CMAKE. The bindings require a functioning installation of CUDA.
About
The project is a spin-off of a research-project of the Goethe Center for Scientific Computing (G-CSC) at the University of Frankfurt in Germany. It is released as OpenSource under a BSD License.
