Wrong filter for Russia in Beta Download Statistics

Reported by: puybaret Owned by: ctsai
Keywords: ENGR NF-2101 Cc: puybaret@…
Private: no

Comparing downloads existing stats for Sweet Home 3D with the results returned by stats beta version, there's a huge difference (120,000 vs 580,000) !
From the answers you made in previous tickets about differences in stats, I understand that filters applied on the existing and the new stats systems are different. Nevertheless, it seems that the filter system in the new stats still needs some refinements.
Looking at the beta stats map, I guess the problem comes from Russian downloads.
Hope you can fix it, because new stats are completely useless for me in the current version.

Thank you for this report, I'm escalating this to our engineering team to take a look at: https://sourceforge.net/p/allura/tickets/2101/

I don't understand why you qualified ticket 2101 as won't fix.
Things get better from time to time, but most of the time the new stats are completely unusable.
I can't believe that there's so much downloads coming from Russia (compare stats on the 12/11 and the 12/09), or more astonishing, from Kazakhstan (compare stats on the 12/02 to the 12/08, then to the 12/09), with such gaps from a day to the other.
There's clearly a problem and I hope you'll find a solution.

I discovered that the problem might come only from the old file SweetHome3D-1.2.1-windows.exe.
The country stats on this file during the first 2 weeks of december gives very strange results compared to country stats on the last 3.3 version during the same period.
Hope this will help.

I'm closing this ticket out as the team has a lot of other work going on, and this is not on-going.
