TODO

(this page will always be a work in progress)

This is a list of planned features/bugfixes for Qtpfsgui:

  • pfstools codebase merged up until (included) 1.6.5. merge the following releases.
  • pfstmo codebase merged up until 1.3 (not mantiuk08 yet). merge the following releases.
  • merge Ed Brambley's code for hdr-equalization (in the main window, for hdrs)
  • provide a hdr crop feature.
  • logarithmic visualization of histogram.
  • fix 64 bit bug (still there?)
  • add "Fit window to image" and "Fit window to height/width" features.
  • and add option to fit by default an hdr and/or a ldr result.
  • finish documentation for tone mapping parameters, http://osp.wikidot.com/parameters-for-photographers
  • 360 degrees tonemapping feature (expand-copy borders).
  • check for latest version, file online on sf (via setup.exe -on win32 only-?)
  • test if we can use a cropped area of an image as a "preview" for non-global operators (fattal at least)
  • is there a focus related bug on mac (in the save hdr dialog)?
  • quality slider for saving JPEG and compression level for PNG
  • no ellipses (...) in names of "tabs" in Preferences dialog (too long labels look stripped and have ... on the end)
  • undo/redo (especially if you applied Levels and you want everything back) (superseded by SoU proposal?)
  • autozoom to fit for each newly created window with an image (everybody else does so for a good reason - people overview the whole picture, then go to details)
  • image window should always have same proportion as the image, no white margins

Long Term

  • read qt color themes
  • Scribus 1.3.5 has widget for adjusting curves on bitmaps (use it for weights and response curves) (krita)
  • look into http://www.oxygen-icons.org/ and http://tango.freedesktop.org/ArtLibreSet
  • save settings about custom size
  • in the tm dialog, switch from the original HDR to the just tm'ed LDR and tm it again.
  • suggested names: Luminance (first candidate, thanks Luke), Light master, exposer, DramaticHDR, TrueHDR, QuickHDR, FastHDR, MasterHDR, Photomize
