    I have created a very large encrypted file container (ex: 500GB) on Veracrypt 1.23-Hotfix-2, however, it is taking a very long time to format it (>24 hours). On Windows, there is no option to "Quick format" when creating file container. If I were to create a encrypted partition, then the "Quick format" option appears.     Can you explain how to "manually fill the regions 0x200 to 0x20000, 0x1000 to 0x200 from the end of the file"? I have created a 500GB file container. Becasue there is no option for "quick format", it is taking hours (>24h hr) to format. I intented on filling the entire file container with data... A temporary work around I have found is using "dyanmic (sparse file)" file container. If I choose this mode, then it creates the container much faster.
