Initial sequence I used was after login sudo apt update sudo apt upgrade reboot raspbx-upgrade most of the raspbx-upgrade is done in the second action. then config the raspberry - expand file system - localisation -etc sudo raspi-config Note ssh is not turned on by default - when you have put the image on the SD card add a file called ssh no file extension and nothing in the file - that enables ssh. Serial does not work. https://sourceforge.net/p/raspbx/discussion/tutorials/thread/481bdd7ec9/?li...

Come on Own up - you have obviously found your mistake- let everyone know so that they do not make the same mistake. And just for information as a test for any oddities that people have commented on -I have today downloaded and installed the 10-10-20 on a PI3 and a PI4 and both worked fine. Even the PI3 sd card worked in the PI4.

Hi, I don't use PJSIP just standard Chan- Sip and have external extensions, however this may help I turned off PJSIP through Advanced settings Sip Channel driver box and selected Chan Sip, as I never had much success with PJSIP. This has been working for a number of years quite happily. I have changed the default Chan- Sip port of 5060 to something else that is in the higher numbers !! You can do the same with PJSIP as well I think Done in Sipsettings, Chan Sip Settings look for Advanced General...

First, make a clone of your working card and if you are going to experiment use that. Generally it is not recommened to upgrade from Buster PI3 to PI4 however there is info around about this, but not specifically for RASPBX, which I suspect is not possible. Best bet is fresh install.

  • Trebor T Trebor T posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Download and install on your PI- - you can then explore the features that are free - lots !

  • Trebor T Trebor T posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

I have not tried on PI4, but on all versions up to P3+ and they all boot OK. I would suggest re-downloading the image and trying again, if the same happens then try a new SD card and/or download the PI standard operating system and see if that works OK. Did you run raspbx-upgrade? Did you remember to expand the file system to use all the SD card capacity ?

Is this what you are looking for ? http://www.raspberry-asterisk.org/documentation/ Changing passwords Once you are done with basic installation, you might want to change the following important passwords to keep your setup safe. As long as your system is running with a private IP address behind a router with all ports closed, these passwords will only affect people trying to log in from inside your network, as no one can log in from outside anyway. Change the password for SSH or console login with:...

Further update If you press enter on the rasp-config screen showing user PI, you do get the options as expected. and I would think that the settings would apply to root.

Hi, I thought I would test the download and see if I can replicate your problem. This is on a PI 3 but should not make any difference. Downloaded the latest image and put on to SD card then booted up. All fine. Logged in as root with the raspberry password. then ran raspi-config - that came up correctly then ran the raspbx-upgrade then tried the raspi-config again and I get the same problem as you have. So it seems that the upgrade causes the problem. Perhaps Gernot can try the same. So I would suggest,...

Further thought.... For your telephones 1,2,3 you could use VOIP phones and then you would not need the 2 x PAP2T units, just connect each phone to your ethernet network, either through a hub (plenty of sockets) or direct to a router assuming you have enough ethernet sockets spare on that. Voip phones are easier to setup to RASPBX in my opinion. (Beware cheap CISCO phones, they are not always SIP friendly,)

For blue box 2 x PAP2T, (2 lines in each) and for green box Cisco SPA-3102 or SPA-3000, all available on Ebay.

Hi Gernot, Whilst trying to solve the missing chan_dongle I found the following site https://bin.entware.net/armv7sf-k3.2/ had a asterisk16-chandongle listed as well as lots of other modules.. https://bin.entware.net/armv7sf-k3.2/asterisk16-chan-dongle_1.1-20180619-1_armv7-3.2.ipk do you think this would work ? if so how do you get it installed ? (I am not a linux guru !!) From what I have heard and seen, Buster for the PI seems to have some problems.

Further info. I resurrected my Asterisk13 image and installed the dongle, and checked it all worked. Then did apt-get update apt-get remove asterisk13 watching the uninstall I briefly saw that the chan_dongle was being uninstalled. apt-get install asterisk16 This installed OK, but when trying install-dongle it failed as per previous post ( unable to locate package asterisk11-chandongle.). So I am sure that the chan_dongle is not packaged with asterisk 16.

  • Trebor T Trebor T posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Hi Gernot I think there might be a problem with Chan_dongle when going to asterisk16. I did as per your posting above and no errors appeared and all but dongle is fine. However the dongle is not recognised by asterisk - despite being shown when using lsusb using PI cmd line - dongle working fine with 13. I decided to re-install the dongle, but got the message - unable to locate package asterisk11-chandongle. So I decided to remove asterisk16 and re-install asterisk 13 and the dongle is back working....

Perhaps try a different dongle, I had a ZTE MF627 connected to aTenda modem, not using the ADSL part, for internet access, and found that it would drop out and not re-connect. I changed the dongle to a Huawei E160 and that kept the conection running.

Not sure where you are located, but in UK old POTS phones need a ring capacitor adapter to make them work on US style connectors. Modern phones do not necessarily need this. Also the ring generator circuit in the 110 may not be powerful enough to ring an old phone.

Forget rpi-update, tried this morning and get an early EOF in file it was down loading so it aborted. Older Pi may have to be PI3 not any earlier version.

  • Trebor T Trebor T posted a comment on discussion General Discussion

Assuming you have an older older Pi2 B then try the following, (not tried on RASPBX but does work on earlier normal distribution) Put Raspbx image on card - boot in older PI then do sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade sudo apt-get dist-upgrade reboot then try the card in PI3 (if above does not work then sudo rpi-update as well after the above) reboot then try the card in PI3 No guarantee - but could well solve your problem. Also make sure your power supply is at least 2.5A as the PI3+ takes...

Do the classic......Shutdown the Pi and power off.....if your network is run through a modem/router do the same, and any network hubs, then power up modem/router, any network hubs, then the PI and see if that fixes your problem.

Suggest you try Win32DiskImager (Windows ONLY) or Etcher (versions for Windows/Linux/mac) as it would seem that unetbootin may be the problem. I use Win32Diskimager on Xp and W7 and it works fine. Friend has just tried Etcher (Win 7 64bit) and that also works fine and will work from the download zip file without unpacking it,

Image is based on Stretch which uses different network names for the interfaces. Before making a static address try it as out of box - it should connect OK using DHCP. It worked fine on PI Zero with USB/Network adapter Backup your dhcpcd.conf before mods. If you want to use the old network naming for interfaces run raspi-config and go to network. If you have not seen the changes on the web here is a link that may help. https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/37920/how-do-i-set-up-network...

I reloaded another sd card with same image, setup the custom route first (Submit button worked!) then added in extensions and routes and all appeared OK. So back to the original SD card, I removed all extensions and routes and un-installed the dongle. Did a module update, then setup custom trunk, (Submit worked this time) installed the dongle, setup extensions etc and all appears OK. Could not pin the non responsive SUBMIT button down to anything specific - so will say it was a glitch somewhere.

Using Pi Zero W - latest Raspbx image, 03/12/2017, FreePBX 14.0.1.31 , Current Asterisk Version: 13.18.3 . Installed dongle, and that replies using Asterisk CLI with all correct data. No error messages on install-dongle. Went to set up Custom Trunk - filled in information as per Raspbx info, but click on Submit Button, button flashes, but nothing happens. Fault is not specific to dongle entry. PI Zero W works fine on otherwise - extensions and trunks. Any ideas or is it a bug ?

The SHA1 is for the ZIP file NOT the .IMG file inside. Are you just putting the .IMG file on the SD card ? You need to use Win32DiskImager.exe to put it on the SD card.
