Oh heck, I couldn't help myself and did a new installation anyway. I first used the source code of 9.0.2 version I downloaded last Friday and made the change in the 3d_view_panel.cpp myself and build and installed 9.0.2. That worked but then I decided to build and install the latest source code because then I also get some other changes. The zoom in and out function works like a charm. Will eventually install the official 9.1.0 when it comes out. Thanks, Yuroon

Hi. I misinterpreted "has been addressed" as something that was final in my impatience :-) When I then saw 9.0.2 updated, I assumed wrongly that the change was incorporated I could build as you suggested. I did that with 8.5.0 but had some problems with wxWidgets (wxGTK) that needed to be updated (so 9.0.2 is the first version I now installed after 8.5.0). Building now SAGA from source is something that should now be straightforward but I think I will wait until 9.1.0 comes out. Thanks and best,...

Hi Olaf, Will this change be implemented in a next version of SAGA or is it already updated in the currently available 9.0.2? I see the last update of SAGA 9.0.2 was done 7 hours ago, which coincides with your response to my post. Many thanks for picking this up on a short notice. It was driving me a bit cookoo. I noticed it before but then SAGA went a bit on the back burner for me when I made the quantum leap (for me) from Windoze to completely going to Linux (with windows in a VM) Best, Yuroon

Dear SAGA users and developers, Is there a way in SAGA on Linux to change the settings of the mouse, specifically the settings of the mouse wheel? In normal view, the zoom in and out behaviour of the mouse wheel is opposite of that in 3D view (or vice versa :-) ). I searched through the forum but can't find any similar questions. Thanks, Yuroon

Hi Volker, I updated the wxWidgets as suggested. I followed the procedure here: https://docs.wxwidgets.org/3.2.1/plat_gtk_install.html Then I compiled and installed SAGA following the directions here: https://sourceforge.net/p/saga-gis/wiki/Compiling%20SAGA%20on%20Linux/ wxWigdets installation via apt-get I omitted because I already had it updated. Not that it would any harm probably. The other dependencies were already present or were installed via apt-get. First time I compiled, my whole system...

Hi. Thanks for pointing that out. Updating wxWidgets following the procedure here worked for me: https://docs.wxwidgets.org/3.2.1/plat_gtk_install.html Then I followed the procedure here to compile SAGA: https://sourceforge.net/p/saga-gis/wiki/Compiling%20SAGA%20on%20Linux/ But no need to update wxWidgets since it was already updated above. Adding the wxWidgets directory to the environmental viriable LD_LIBRARY_PATH could be useful, I found out later. Jeroen

Thanks Volker. I could try to build an AppImage but for that I first need to get it installed I guess :-) Best, Jeroen

Hi Volker, Sorry for the late reply. Stuff came up and I left this for a while. I tried the suggestion but it didn't work for me. I recently installed a new Kubuntu distro, so that is a clean one, but I get the same error message. I will try to do what Lu Liu did but I have a suggestion. Perhaps a SAGA AppImage could be made and offered? Is that something that could be feasible? Thanks and best, Jeroen
